Virology Laboratory Manager

The Senior Hospital Scientist in Charge of Section is a leadership role responsible for managing scientific, technical and support staff in the Virology Section at Westmead Hospital.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the quality, cost and operational integrity of the section.
- Evaluate laboratory services for regulatory compliance and accreditation.
The position requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and strategic planning to achieve objectives and drive success. Experience in laboratory management, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
Requirements- Degree in Science or related field.
- Possess relevant postgraduate qualifications and/or certification in Laboratory Management or Quality Assurance.
- Proven track record in leadership roles with experience in managing staff and resources.
- Ability to evaluate complex information and make informed decisions.
