About this role

Our organisation is seeking a Contracts Advisor to play a key role in ensuring our business units have what they need, when they need it and at the right price.

You will be responsible for liaising with internal customers to understand their requirements and then utilising our internal and third-party partners to deliver those outcomes.

This position can be based in Mount Isa or Brisbane.


Key responsibilities

  • Participate in strategy development for sourcing activities;
  • Assist in developing scope of work writing for contracts;
  • Assist in developing evaluation scorecards and participate in technical evaluations of tenders;
  • Manage the contract register to ensure projects are executed on time to replace expiring contracts;
  • Establish and manage relationships with internal stakeholders as the key point for end-user queries;
  • Ensure escalations, invoice price adherence and budget compliance is reviewed properly;
  • Assist and guide regarding pricing escalations and adjustments;


Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in commercial, legal or engineering discipline;
  • Several years' experience in a similar role in contract management, supply chain or commercial team;
  • Experience in drafting and/or managing contracts, major equipment contracts, site services and support contracts;
  • Extensive experience using computerised ERP systems, preferably SAP or Coupa;
  • Ability to work with remote team members across different time zones.
