We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Contracts Advisor.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact in the industry by ensuring business units have what they need, when they need it, and at the right price.

  • Participate in strategy development for relevant sourcing activities.
  • Assist in developing and coordinating scope of work writing for contracts;
  • Assist in developing evaluation scorecards and where required participate in technical evaluations of tenders;
  • Manage contract register ensuring projects are executed in time to replace expiring contracts;
  • Establish and manage appropriate relationships with internal stakeholders by being the key point for end-user queries;
  • Ensure escalations, invoice price adherence, and budget compliance is properly reviewed;
  • Assist and guide regarding pricing escalations and adjustments.
Key Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in a commercial, legal, or engineering-related discipline.
  • Several years' experience in a similar role in contract management, supply chain, or commercial teams.
  • Having worked in an underground metals environment will be advantageous.
  • Experience in drafting and/or managing contracts, major equipment contracts, site services, and support contracts.
  • Extensive experience using computerized ERP systems; the use of SAP and/or Coupa will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to work with and coordinate remote team members across different time zones.
