
Strategic Financial Planning Professional

The Finance Manager will play a key role in business partnering with stakeholders, driving the delivery of group and external reporting functions. This includes managing month-end process and associated management reporting, alongside forecasts, budgets, and ongoing review of risks and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include supporting business unit leadership teams in formulating and delivering strategies, promoting a cost-conscious and cash-conscious culture within the business unit, and delivering forecasting processes from collection of inputs to stakeholder buy-in.
Additionally, the Finance Manager will review and challenge budgets, reforecasts, and 4-year plans, including P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow, along with underlying assumption booklets. The role also involves identifying and recommending initiatives to improve financial performance, presenting outputs to achieve buy-in from business unit leadership teams, and reviewing key assumptions, drivers for variances, and sensitivities.
- Manage delivery of month-end close process to a high standard and in a timely and efficient manner
- Review balance sheet reconciliations as part of the month-end close, as well as quarterly balance sheet review process
- Coordinate preparation and review of business unit management performance reporting
The ideal candidate will be CA/CPA/ACA/MBA qualified with extensive experience in month-end close and finance planning processes within a large-complex organisation. They will also have advanced user skills in a Finance module of ERP (preferably SAP) and MS office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Key qualifications include high-quality written communication skills, ability to present complex data/concepts in a clear and easily understood manner, and influence business decisions. Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to manage complex projects with multiple resources and influence and interact with senior management & executives across the business.
