Your New Opportunity: This pivotal role offers you the chance to be an integral part of our close-knit team, supporting our financial advisers and contributing to our client-centric mission. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice, providing essential administrative and client service support. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has recently completed their Year 12 studies and is interested in securing a part-time position within the financial services industry, particularly while studying.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Client Experience & Front Office Support: Performing general reception duties, including warmly answering phones and preparing meeting rooms for client and staff gatherings.
• Administrative Efficiency: Managing electronic filing, scanning, and diary coordination, along with general administrative tasks.
• Data Management: Assisting with database management to maintain accurate electronic client files.
• Advice Preparation Assistance: Supporting our advisers with advice preparation, including crucial research and data analysis.
• External Liaison: Communicating professionally with investment and insurance companies as directed.
• Appointment & Event Coordination: Assist in the coordination of appointments, with client file preparation, and helping to organise scheduled client and staff events such as client seminars and end-of-year functions.
• Brand Building: Utilising your understanding of social media to assist in building our brand and connecting with clients.
About You – Required Skills & Experience: We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is eager to learn and grow within the financial planning industry. The successful candidate will possess:
• Education: Successful completion of Year 12 education, with preference given to those currently studying a Business, Commerce, or Financial Services discipline.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook. Deep understanding of social media and familiarity with softwares, such as Canva, Adobe & AI such as Co-Pilot/Chat GPT
• Interpersonal & Communication Skills: A cheerful, friendly personality comfortable working in a dynamic small team, with an excellent telephone manner and strong written and oral communication skills. You must be customer service focused and able to communicate professionally with an eagerness to learn.
• Attention to Detail & Analytical Abilities: Excellent attention to detail, advanced critical thinking skills, and strong analytical skills are essential.
• Work Ethic & Team Focus: A strong work ethic, a team-oriented mindset, and the flexibility to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Numerical Acumen: Strong financial expertise and numerical skills are an advantage.
