You will lead daily operations of the department, enforcing service standards, operational procedures, and company policies across 30 kitchens/outlets.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3-5 years' experience in a managerial role within a kitchen environment or stewarding department, with a proven track record in successfully leading and managing teams within a fast-paced hospitality environment.

The Food Operations Manager will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Staff Management: Developing and implementing weekly schedules and work rosters for up to 150 team members.
  • Operational Oversight: Leading daily operations of the department, ensuring adherence to service standards, operational procedures, and company policies.
  • Resource Allocation: Monitoring and managing operations during peak periods, adjusting as necessary to maintain efficiency.
  • Inventory Control: Maintaining control over stock levels across all kitchen back of house departments and areas.
  • Cleaning and Safety Leadership: Enforcing back-of-house cleaning schedules and upholding cleanliness standards across the precinct for all back of house areas.
  • Team Development: Building capability and knowledge through training in safe working practices, cleaning, and logistical operations.
  • Reporting and Communication: Preparing and submitting regular reports to Executive Chef and Operational Team.
  • Waste Management: Ensuring adherence to regular and proper waste disposal procedures.
  • Vendor and Partner Collaboration: Collaborating with external suppliers for repairs, maintenance, and new inventory.
