About the Role

MusicSA is seeking a highly skilled Marketing and Development Manager to join our team. As the peak body and advocate for the South Australian contemporary music industry, we are committed to promoting, supporting, and developing the local industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Deliver Marketing Strategies: Create and implement effective marketing, communications, and fundraising strategies to promote MusicSA and the South Australian contemporary music industry.
  • Manage Brand and Corporate Positioning: Oversee the development and implementation of corporate branding, positioning, and profile for MusicSA.
  • Cultivate Sponsorship and Philanthropic Partnerships: Identify and cultivate sponsorship and philanthropic partnerships to support MusicSA's goals and objectives.
  • Manage Digital and Print Marketing Activity: Oversee the management of websites, social media, and publicity channels to promote MusicSA and the South Australian contemporary music industry.
  • Manage Budget and Financial Responsibility: Manage budgets and financial responsibilities to ensure the effective use of resources.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, and/or media.
  • Professional Experience: Prior professional experience as a marketing or communications manager or high-level coordinator.
  • Marketing and Promotions Principles: Demonstrated and comprehensive understanding of marketing and promotions principles, methodologies, and trends with experience in developing and delivering successful music, arts, cultural, and/or events campaigns and outcomes.
  • Industry Knowledge: Interest in the contemporary music industry and an awareness of marketing and promotions of and for contemporary music, music events, and audiences.
  • Marketing Projects and Programs: Experience in developing and managing a diverse range of marketing projects, programs, and activity in a busy and dynamic environment.
  • Literacy and Computing Skills: Outstanding literacy and computing skills, including experience in copywriting and generating creative, digital, and graphic content and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Understanding of budgeting, revenue, and expense control, budget tracking, and reporting, and the management of invoicing processes.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Experience in facilitating positive collaborative partner, stakeholder, and industry networks and relationships, with exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
