This role is critical in driving the success of our programs in Dubbo. Your responsibilities will include facilitating workshops for school students and learner drivers.

About the Role

This position requires a deep understanding of the community's needs and the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, as well as a good understanding of culture.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Bro Speak Sessions: Deliver sessions to Aboriginal students in partner schools to help them achieve their goals.
  2. Community Engagement: Maintain a respectful and trust-based relationship with community members, consult on the needs of Aboriginal youth, barriers to accessing support and issues negatively impacting on school attendance, retention and employment.
  3. Cultural Integration: Incorporate local Aboriginal knowledge, protocols and practices in our activities.
  4. Employment Opportunities: Identify and promote employment opportunities that align with participants' career plans.
  5. Training and Employment Activities: Assist participants with training and employment activities, including digital literacy, job applications, mock interviews, job search seminars, etc.
  6. Solutions and Support: Respectfully identify and assist with facilitating solutions to barriers to full participation for individuals.
  7. Learner's Tests: Assist participants to take the learner's tests and other activities associated with gaining a driver's licence.
  8. Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as required.

Must be able to pass Police Check and Working with Children check and have a full driver's licence and vehicle.
