About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Health Nurse to join our team as a Senior Parenting Line Practitioner. As a leader in our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management of staff working in Parenting Line.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing leadership and management of the Parenting Line team
  • Coaching and mentoring staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to provide high-quality support to parents and caregivers
  • Participating in service evaluation processes and quality improvement activities
  • Fostering staff development and maintaining current evidence-based practices
  • Engaging and developing effective working relationships with families, colleagues, and external service providers

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Qualifications in Child Health Nursing with a minimum of 5 years' experience
  • Significant postgraduate nursing experience in the area of speciality with demonstrated advanced knowledge and skill with a strengths-based approach to practice
  • Knowledge of contemporary social issues and how they impact on children and families
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship building skills, including conflict management skills
  • Proficient in computer technology systems
