About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Road Asset Infrastructure Manager to join our team in Chandler Macleod. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of innovative road asset management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement place-based road asset management plans that align with the Community Strategic Plan, Long Term Financial Plan (LTFP), Resourcing Strategy, and other relevant policies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize business assets using a cross-sectoral approach.
  • Update and maintain the business asset register ensuring accurate and up-to-date data that meets reporting, audit, and financial obligations.
  • Assist in the development of road asset management and maintenance plans and schedules, and support their implementation.
  • Monitor costs associated with supply and maintenance contracts / projects and ensure programs are delivered within budget.
  • Support the development of tender documents and specifications for relevant contracts and ensure they are managed in line with business procurement procedures.
  • Promote cross-unit collaboration with Directorates and Business units within the organization.
  • Prepare reports and correspondence on asset management matters and ensure timely actions are taken.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes to legislation, standards, and guidelines related to roads asset management in Local Government.
  • Contribute to special projects regarding roads asset management as required.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, project management, or asset management, or minimum 3 years demonstrated relevant experience in a related field.
  • Current Class C Driver's License.
  • Construction Induction (White Card).

About You

  • Extensive experience in roads asset management.
  • Experience with road construction and re-sheeting.
  • Ability to present clear, concise, and timely reports.
  • Knowledge of engineering practice, particularly in a Local Government context.
  • Able to introduce new engineering concepts and procedures.
  • Approach problems creatively.
  • Sound organizational and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.

What We Offer
