Strategic Road Asset Management Specialist

This role involves delivering innovative and strategically aligned outcomes to ensure the management and maintenance of business assets are financially sustainable.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and prioritize business assets using a place-based approach that considers cross-sectoral infrastructure and amenity needs.
- Update and maintain the business asset register, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting, audit, and financial obligations.
- Assist in developing road asset management and maintenance plans, and support implementation efforts.
- Collect and prepare financial data for budgeting and project costing, and assist with statutory reporting.
- Monitor contract costs and ensure programs are delivered within budget.
- Support tender document development and specifications for relevant contracts, aligning with business procurement procedures.
- Promote collaboration across Directorates and Business units.
- Prepare reports on asset management matters, ensuring timely actions are taken.
- Stay up-to-date with changes to legislation, standards, and guidelines related to road assets management in Local Government.
- Contribute to special projects focused on roads asset management.
- Provide support to Senior Asset Specialists as needed.
- Tertiary qualifications in civil engineering, project management, or asset management, or 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Current Class C Drivers Licence.
- Construction Induction (White Card).
We're looking for someone with extensive experience in roads asset management, knowledge of engineering practice, and ability to present clear, concise reports. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, be able to work autonomously, and possess good computer skills.
What We OfferA competitive salary of approximately $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with opportunities for growth and professional development.
