Job Title: Cyber Security Uplift SpecialistJob Overview

The Cyber Security Uplift Specialist will play a pivotal role in enhancing the cyber security maturity of Australia's energy sector.

This position requires collaboration with government authorities, industry participants, and academia to address critical cyber security challenges affecting the sector.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in the energy sector, effective analysis and communication skills, and knowledge of security control and maturity frameworks relevant to the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery and ownership of complex outcomes in support of the Energy Markets Cyber Coordination team's responsibilities relating to cyber maturity uplift.
  • Maintain contacts and engage with stakeholders across government, industry, and academia.
  • Identify and review AEMO cyber security standards applying to market participants.
  • Support review and refinement of sector-specific cyber maturity frameworks and reporting on security preparedness of the sector.
  • Assisting in the development of supporting materials and presentations.
  • Coordinate internal and contracted resources to deliver objectives.
  • Support Manager, Energy Market Cyber Coordination in reporting on progress against initiatives and other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in the energy sector supporting critical infrastructure, resilience and cyber security initiatives (preferred).
  • Effective analysis and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of security control and maturity frameworks relevant to the energy sector.
  • Knowledge of jurisdictional structures and arrangements across State, Territory and Commonwealth governments with respect to energy and cyber security.
  • Contemporary knowledge of cyber adversary techniques and tradecraft.
  • Procurement, program and project management skills.
  • Financial/budget management, scheduling and resource management skills.
  • Ability to travel interstate and work flexible hours.
