About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Risk Operations Controls Officer to join our team at The Star Entertainment Group. As a key member of our risk management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our organisational operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement processes to improve controls for adequate risk and compliance management
  • Manage the effectiveness of remediation and control uplift activities resulting from audit, external review, and regulatory findings.
  • Support business leaders to identify, assess, and manage risks in line with risk management framework, policies, ICMs and SOPs and the control standard
  • Report the outcomes of control testing
  • Conduct regular risk and control self-assessments and document/report remedial actions as appropriate and in conjunction with business leaders
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in a legal, commercial, or business field highly desirable
  • Previous experience in developing, uplifting, testing and improving controls processes, including control design, implementation, and ongoing management
  • Experience as a Risk Operations Controls Officer, Risk or Compliance Officer within a large, complex, highly regulated organisation
  • Previous understanding and experience in implementing business drivers for problem-solving
  • Ability to interpret data and information and provide audit reports and analysis on the business
About You

You are a confident, passionate, and highly motivated individual who asks the right questions to get to the root of any problem. You exhibit a 'can-do' attitude and have excellent process mapping and communication skills. You have solid best practice and industry experience and are eager to contribute your skills and ideas.

Your role will be pivotal to maintaining the highest level of integrity and confidentiality relating to sensitive information and investigations.
