Risk Operations Controls Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Controls Officer to join our team at The Star Entertainment Group. As a Controls Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of our organisational operations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement processes to improve controls for adequate risk and compliance management
- Manage the effectiveness of remediation and control uplift activities resulting from audit, external review, and regulatory findings
- Support business leaders to identify, assess, and manage risks in line with risk management framework, policies, ICMs and SOPs and the control standard
- Report the outcomes of control testing
- Conduct regular risk and control self-assessments and document/report remedial actions as appropriate and in conjunction with business leaders
- Undergraduate degree in a legal, commercial, or business field highly desirable
- Previous experience in developing, uplifting, testing and improving controls processes, including control design, implementation, and ongoing management
- Experience as a Risk Operations Controls Officer, Risk or Compliance Officer within a large, complex, highly regulated organisation
- Previous understanding and experience in implementing business drivers for problem-solving
- Ability to interpret data and information and provide audit reports and analysis on the business
