Celta Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage the delivery of our CELTA trainee courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a course calendar, recruiting and setting up trainers, and coordinating with campus DoS to allocate suitable rooms for face-to-face input sessions and teaching practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a comprehensive course calendar ensuring diverse scheduling throughout the year
  • Recruit and appoint qualified trainers to deliver high-quality training
  • Coordinate with campus authorities to secure appropriate facilities for face-to-face training sessions
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure optimal use of resources and effective trainee observation
  • Oversee assessment processes in conjunction with CELTA assessors
  • Address any trainer-related complaints in a timely and efficient manner
  • Support the Director of Education and Teacher Training with trainer time sheet submissions and processing
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement cost-effective measures to increase course efficiency and profitability
  • Develop and manage procedures for delivering for-profit Professional Development courses for CELTA trainees

Requirements:

  • Relevant Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Post-graduate level TESOL qualification (e.g., MA TESOL, DELTA)
  • Minimum 3 years' administration experience in teacher training
  • Exceptional organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
