As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for coordinating node activities, developing strategic partnerships, and contributing to the development of local and national Indigenous genomic policies.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will have expertise in project management, stakeholder engagement, and community development, with a strong understanding of the social determinants of health and wellbeing. You will work closely with our leadership team to establish a jurisdictional node that supports the development of a National Roadmap for Pharmacogenomics for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, researchers, and industry partners.
- Develop and implement strategies for node coordination, including project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Contribute to the development of local and national Indigenous genomic policies and guidelines.
- Collaborate with our research teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Education training and/or experience equivalent to a degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, project management, biomedical science, public or population health).
- Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families, communities, service providers, and organizations.
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
