Job Description

The successful candidate will have expertise in project management, stakeholder engagement, and community development, with a strong understanding of the social determinants of health and wellbeing. You will work closely with our leadership team to establish a jurisdictional node that supports the development of a National Roadmap for Pharmacogenomics for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, researchers, and industry partners.
  • Develop and implement strategies for node coordination, including project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Contribute to the development of local and national Indigenous genomic policies and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with our research teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Education training and/or experience equivalent to a degree in a relevant field (e.g., business administration, project management, biomedical science, public or population health).
  • Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families, communities, service providers, and organizations.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective strategies.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
