Job Opportunity: Indigenous Genomics Network Coordinator

We are seeking a highly experienced coordinator to join our team and play a key role in developing and implementing a jurisdictional node operational plan for the Indigenous Genomics Network.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering key projects, including establishing local governance structures, engaging with partners and stakeholders, and developing capacity building initiatives.

This role requires excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to negotiate flexible working arrangements and travel requirements.

About the Role:

Reporting to a CI, the Coordinator will work closely with the Network Operations Manager and CI team to ensure the Network's key deliverables are met. This includes participation in the National Node Coordinator Community of Practice and the development of local and national Indigenous genomic policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a jurisdictional node operational plan for the Indigenous Genomics Network.
  • Establish local governance structures and engage with multiple partners and stakeholders.
  • Develop capacity building initiatives and support the delivery of key projects.
  • Negotiate flexible working arrangements and travel requirements.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have:

  • A deep understanding of Indigenous genomics.
  • Proven experience in project management and coordination.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with communities and health services.
