Key Responsibilities
  • We are seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to drive asset performance improvement through the implementation of reliability and maintenance engineering principles.
  • The successful candidate will provide support to our maintenance crew on breakdowns and champion root cause analysis (RCA), FMECA, and system analysis to ensure optimal system performance.
  • This role involves developing maintenance strategies for new MPLS and LTE networks to support future advanced rail operations such as the High-Capacity Signalling system.
  • You will develop the asset management plan, defining the asset life cycle requirements for a safe, reliable, and consistent rail operation.
About You
  • You hold a tertiary qualification in Electrical or Communication Engineering or equivalent with recognition or membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia.
  • Proven experience in the maintenance and/or maintenance planning of Voice, Data, Radio, and LTE Mobile Communications Systems including CCTV Systems, Customer Information Systems and good knowledge of Communications Systems and Standards within a rail or similarly complex environment.
  • You have proven experience in applying asset management frameworks and asset management strategy and substantial experience in applying safety management systems and knowledge of current Safety Legislation.
