About the Opportunity

As a dynamic leader, you'll not only craft cutting-edge permanent way designs but also drive project and contract management activities. From preparing detailed alignments to negotiating with key stakeholders, you'll ensure every project meets the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

You'll serve as a trusted technical advisor, bringing expertise and visionary problem-solving to complex challenges across the rail network.

To excel in this role, you'll possess an Engineering degree recognized by Engineers Australia, sound knowledge of Systems Engineering, and a proven track record in Engineering and project management as you help transform rail transport for generations to come.

About You
  • Possession of a Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent Engineering Discipline, acceptable for membership of Engineers Australia.
  • Sound understanding of permanent way design and experience in applying Australian design standards and codes in producing the permanent way designs.
  • Relevant technical expertise including project management, contract management, systems engineering, and engineering assurance experience.
  • Well-developed skills in building and maintaining effective relationships with various stakeholders, including the ability to provide specialist advice at all levels.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, including demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems.
