Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to drive asset performance improvement by implementing reliability and maintenance engineering principles. The successful candidate will provide support to the maintenance crew on breakdowns, champion root cause analysis (RCA), FMECA, and system analysis.

The incumbent will be responsible for defining asset data requirements and developing maintenance strategies for new MPLS and LTE networks to support future advanced rail operations such as the High-Capacity Signalling system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement reliability and maintenance engineering principles to enhance asset performance.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and resolve equipment issues.
  • Develop and implement asset management plans to ensure safe and reliable rail operations.

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of asset management frameworks and the ability to apply safety management systems and knowledge of current Safety Legislation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Electrical or Communication Engineering or equivalent with recognition or membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia.
  • Proven experience in the maintenance and/or maintenance planning of Voice, Data, Radio, and LTE Mobile Communications Systems including CCTV Systems and good knowledge of Communications Systems and Standards within a rail or similarly complex environment.
  • Proven experience in applying asset management frameworks and substantial experience in applying safety management systems and knowledge of current Safety Legislation.
