Job Title: System Reliability Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a System Reliability Specialist. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our rail transport system.


Job Description:

The System Reliability Specialist will be responsible for implementing reliability and maintenance engineering principles to drive asset performance improvement. This includes developing and maintaining asset data definitions, creating maintenance strategies, and conducting root cause analysis (RCA), failure modes effects and criticality analysis (FMECA), and system analysis.

The incumbent will also be responsible for developing and maintaining the asset management plan, defining the asset life cycle requirements for safe, reliable, and consistent rail operation.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A tertiary qualification in Electrical or Communication Engineering or equivalent with recognition or membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia.
  • Proven experience in the maintenance and/or maintenance planning of Voice, Data, Radio, and LTE Mobile Communications Systems including CCTV Systems, Customer Information Systems, and good knowledge of Communications Systems and Standards within a rail or similarly complex environment.
  • Proven experience in providing engineering support in the planning, design, and delivery of maintenance and/or construction works in an operational asset-intensive environment.
  • Proven experience in applying asset management frameworks and asset management strategy and substantial experience in applying safety management systems and knowledge of current Safety Legislation.
