- Processing multiple payrolls across various frequencies ensures accuracy and timeliness.
- Interpreting enterprise agreements, awards, and company policies ensures correct employee payments.
- Maintaining accurate records of pay transactions, leave balances, staff movements, and WorkCover payments is crucial.
- Performing complex payroll calculations including leave accruals, superannuation, redundancy, and tax requires attention to detail.
- Investigating discrepancies and resolving issues, including processing back payments when required, is essential.
- Supporting compliance and reporting requirements includes headcount, staff movement, leave liability, and FBT reports.
- Assisting with month-end reconciliations and general ledger activities is key.
This role is ideal for a confident and detail-oriented payroll professional with:
- 5+ years' experience in a senior payroll role within a complex, multi-site organisation.
- Proven end-to-end payroll processing and payroll system management skills are necessary.
- A strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, and award interpretation is required.
- High attention to detail, excellent numerical and analytical skills are essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset are necessary.
- Experience using MicrOpay is highly desirable.
