Lead Payroll Specialist

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to take ownership of national payroll operations.
- Managing and processing multiple payrolls across various frequencies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Interpreting relevant employment agreements, awards, and company policies to ensure correct employee payments
- Maintaining accurate records of pay transactions, leave balances, staff movements, and WorkCover payments
- Performing complex payroll calculations including leave accruals, superannuation, redundancy, and tax
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies, including processing back payments when required
- Supporting compliance and reporting requirements including headcount, staff movement, leave liability, and FBT reports
- Assisting with month-end reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger activities
- A confident and detail-oriented payroll professional with 5+ years' experience in a standalone or senior payroll role, ideally within a complex organisation
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing and payroll system management
- Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation, taxation, superannuation, and award interpretation
- High attention to detail, excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset
