Senior Payroll Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join our team. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for managing multiple payrolls across various frequencies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
You will interpret enterprise agreements, awards, and company policies for correct employee payments. Your role will involve maintaining accurate records of pay transactions, leave balances, staff movements, and WorkCover payments.
You will perform complex payroll calculations including leave accruals, superannuation, redundancy, and tax. You will also investigate discrepancies and process back payments when required.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills to take their career to the next level. If you have experience in end-to-end payroll processing and payroll system management, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple payrolls across various frequencies
- Interpret enterprise agreements, awards, and company policies
- Maintain accurate records of pay transactions
- Perform complex payroll calculations
- Investigate discrepancies and process back payments
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in a standalone or senior payroll role
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing and payroll system management
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, and award interpretation
- High attention to detail and excellent numerical and analytical skills
