
Senior Forensic Assessment Manager

This is a permanent full-time vacancy that offers the opportunity to lead a team responsible for assessing individual offenders in a prison setting.
The role provides leadership, clinical oversight, management, and professional guidance to the assessment team. The team members have various professional qualifications and experience, conducting risk and needs assessments of offenders with varying complexity. These assessment outcomes inform sentencing and releasing authorities as well as case management planning teams regarding offender risks and rehabilitation intervention services.
- Develop and implement assessment strategies and protocols to improve service delivery.
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of services.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of theories and models of assessment and intervention related to criminal behavior, a clear ethical compass, and effective boundaries when working with clients.
All employees are required to undergo employment screening, which includes a National Criminal History Check and other relevant checks.

Eligibility:
- A four-year tertiary qualification in Psychology or Social Work
- Eligibility for full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia or membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
