Job Title: Senior Forensic Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced senior forensic mental health practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team in the Department of Justice and Community Safety, Corrections Victoria. As a senior practitioner, you will play a vital role in reducing reoffending and making the community safer.

About the Role:

  • Work on complex cases with individuals who have histories of violent and sexual offending
  • Deliver best-practice forensic intervention in a correctional environment
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, clinical interviews, and treatment interventions
  • Prepare treatment plans, reports, and risk assessment reports for internal and external stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualised services based on the Risk-Needs-Responsivity model
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide effective support to clients
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based treatment programs

Requirements:

  • Registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia
  • Current driver's licence
