Job Opportunity

This fixed term contract position is available to cover parental leave, commencing in the next quarter.

Main Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain compliance of classified plant, tanks, and structural assets in line with Australian Standards and regulations.
  • Manage contractor performance and ensure inspections and maintenance are completed by licensed professionals.
  • Identify gaps in inspection/maintenance records and drive timely close-out of remedial actions.
  • Develop and update defect registers, ensuring accurate tagging, reporting, and documentation in SAP.
  • Support construction, commissioning, and operational activities with a regulatory compliance-first approach.
  • Drive safety leadership, risk management, and continuous improvement across all work activities.
Requirements
  • Vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering or mechanical trade qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in heavy industry, preferably fixed plant ore processing.
  • Strong knowledge of structural integrity, tanks, classified plant, and relevant Australian Standards (e.g. AS2304, AS4766, API653, API650).
  • Proven experience in contractor management and familiarity with CMMS (SAP, Pronto) and scheduling systems.
  • Sound understanding of WA Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and mining regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills with a focus on regulatory compliance.
