Job Description

The Market Management group is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join the Prudentials team. The team's primary functions are to ensure market participants adhere to the National Electricity Rules and National Gas Rules, monitor prudential positions of all market participants in all markets, and to ensure the timely settlement of each of the markets in line with the relevant rules.

Key Responsibilities
  • To independently work on default and suspension events under the rules;
  • To assist in the development of internal guidance and procedures to support best practice operations;
  • To investigate potential non-compliance under the National Gas Rules and National Electricity Rules;
  • To represent/present AEMO positions at industry forums;
  • To ensure internal operational processes are aligned and executed in accordance with market rules and daily/weekly/monthly production cycles;
Requirements

Mandatory minimum degree qualification in a relevant discipline. Strong related work experience in the energy industry, with consideration given to relevant (Market/Regulatory/Legal) experience in related industries such as utilities.
