Asset Manager

We are seeking an Asset Manager to lead strategic asset management across a diverse portfolio. The successful candidate will apply technical engineering expertise to optimise property performance and ensure compliance.

About the Role
  • This is a unique opportunity to develop building engineering strategies for mechanical, electrical, HVAC and fire safety systems.
  • You will drive financial optimisation through performance analysis and identify cost-saving initiatives.
  • A key aspect of this role is to act as the critical liaison between clients, teams and stakeholders.
  • You will lead technical assessments for capital projects, including prioritisation of asset replacements.
  • Commissioning processes will be overseen, ensuring comprehensive handover to operational teams.
  • Sustainability initiatives will be championed, monitoring NABERS assessments to meet Net Zero Policy requirements.
  • Work order data will be analysed to identify systemic issues and strategic opportunities for improvement.
  • You will build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Regular performance reviews will be conducted to optimise building systems efficiency.
Requirements
  • Experience managing asset strategies for mixed portfolios, preferably in Government sectors.
  • A qualification in electrical, mechanical or related engineering/trade field.
  • Expertise in building systems with knowledge of HSSE regulations, Australian Standards and the National Construction Code.
  • Technical engineering skills to develop specifications and oversee quality assurance processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • A track record implementing sustainability initiatives in property portfolios.
