HOBAN Recruitment is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to fill the role of Visitor Services Officer for our esteemed client, located in Canberra ACT.

This customer-centric position involves delivering exceptional experiences to visitors while embodying a commitment to commemorating Australia's heroes. If you are enthusiastic about providing warm and professional interactions, ensuring memorable encounters, and contributing to the solemnity of the daily Last Post Ceremony, this role is an excellent opportunity for you.

The position commences with 4 days of fully paid training on-site from Tuesday 3rd December 2024 to Friday 6th December 2024. Following training, successful candidates will be assigned to casual shifts across 7 days per week between 9:00am and 5:06pm. We prefer applicants who can commit to at least 3-4 shifts per week.

About the Role:
  • Engage visitors with warmth and professionalism, fostering memorable experiences.
  • Provide accurate and insightful information on exhibitions, tours, and activities, enriching visitor understanding.
  • Develop engaging public programs that enhance visitor appreciation.
  • Contribute to maintaining gallery security while conveying the Memorial's ethos with sensitivity.
Benefits:
  • The hourly rate for this assignment is $40.73, including casual loading during training. Upon 'signing off', the rate increases to $41.60 per hour, plus 11.5% superannuation.
  • Penalty rates apply for hours worked on Sundays or Public Holidays.
