APAC Business Development Executive/Manager Alternative Title

Drive business growth in the Asia-Pacific region as a Regional Manager/Executive with BAE Systems Digital Intelligence. This role offers a unique opportunity to identify and develop new business opportunities, collaborate with international teams, and establish key relationships with customers and partners.
We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record of developing and closing new business opportunities in the APAC region. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to generate and lead client engagements locally and regionally.
This is a regional role that requires flexibility in working hours and international business travel. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Defence/Military acquisition cycle, including prospecting, proposing, closing, and further developing an account.
Salary Range: £80,000 - £110,000 per annum
About the Role:
- Business Development: Identify and drive business opportunities in the APAC region, including new customers, products, or services.
- Team Collaboration: Establish and guide multi-functional teams towards successful close of business, collaborating with regional Sales Engineers as needed.
- Relationship Building: Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in the region and key partners, including other BAE Systems entities.
- Proposal Development: Co-develop proposals to respond to RFPs, RFIs, and tenders, representing GXP at regional and user conferences, partner events, and public speaking engagements.
- Results Delivery: Ensure financial metrics for the region are achieved, developing 2-5 year strategic plans in collaboration with the Head of BD.
Requirements:
- 15+ years of experience within Defence/Government domain
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of establishing sales channels and customers across the region
- An existing network of relevant contacts across the region is desired
- Ability to generate and lead client engagements locally and regionally
- Demonstrated understanding of the Defence/Military acquisition cycle
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
