About the RoleAurecon is seeking an experienced professional to lead our conflict and probity initiatives, ensuring integrity and ethics drive business decisions. This role requires a unique blend of legal knowledge, procurement expertise, and exceptional client engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to manage conflicts of interest and maintain probity standards in all projects;
- Collaborate with project managers to conduct thorough risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations;
- Engage with clients to discuss conflict and probity matters, providing clear guidance and support;
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in conflict-of-interest laws, probity practices, and ethical standards, applying this knowledge to inform our decision-making processes;
- Design and deliver training programs for technical staff on conflict and probity matters, enhancing their understanding and skills in these areas;
- Work closely with the legal team to address legal-related tasks and ensure seamless integration of conflict and probity considerations into our operations.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in law, commerce, construction, or public administration;
- Relevant experience in a similar role involving legal/audit/procurement aspects;
- Expertise in procurement processes, particularly public-sector procurement, and identifying conflicts of interest;
- In-depth understanding of probity issues, including risk management and compliance;
- Excellent client engagement, negotiation, and influencing skills;
- Effective time management and prioritization skills to handle competing demands;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
