Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Design Draftsperson to play a key role in the development of mechanical sampling systems and equipment.

  • Preparation of engineering calculations, concept designs, 3D modelling, general arrangements, and detailed designs is essential for this position.
  • Issuing accurate manufacturing drawings to fabricators requires strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
  • Reviewing and checking drawings generated by others ensures compliance with relevant standards and project specifications.
  • Utilization of existing Inventor models from a library streamlines the process from concept to detailed manufacturing drawings.
  • Delivering designs and drawings within agreed project schedules is crucial, maintaining high accuracy and minimizing errors.
  • Adherence to all relevant standards and correctness of engineering calculations are vital.
  • Liaising effectively with clients and suppliers regarding drawings as required.

Qualifications
  • A high level of proficiency with AutoCAD and Inventor, with extensive relevant experience in mechanical design.
  • Strong experience in engineering design and calculations, applying technical knowledge to deliver accurate and practical solutions.
  • Evidence of tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, a Mechanical Engineering Certificate, or a relevant trade qualification.
  • Draftsperson experience, preferably in mechanical or industrial projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
