Job Overview

The role of a Lighting Design Coordinator at Harvey Norman involves coordinating lighting projects from design to installation, ensuring associated documentation is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate commercial lighting projects from design to installation.
  • Prepare and develop lighting plans, specifications, and proposals for retail spaces.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment and execution.
  • Undertake lighting drafting, design, and simulation, ensuring compliance with Australian/New Zealand standards.
  • Attend site meetings and undertake site surveys to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Contribute to the effective progression of the team, supporting continuous development and driving process improvement.
About This Opportunity:

To be successful in this role, you will require a degree in Lighting Design, Architecture or a related discipline, along with at least two years of experience in lighting design, project documentation, and coordination.

You will also have proficiency in AutoCAD, AGi32/Dialux, Photometric toolbox, and other lighting design tools, as well as a sound understanding of AS/NZ Lighting Standards and Building/Construction Codes.

A strong candidate will possess excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines, and great teamwork abilities with a strong emphasis on building rapport.
