Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Lighting Design Coordinator. This role involves coordinating lighting projects and delivering tailored solutions for retail stores across Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role
  • This position requires effective coordination of commercial lighting projects from design to installation, with a focus on maintaining associated documentation.
  • You will be responsible for preparing and developing lighting plans, specifications, and proposals that align with project requirements and corporate vision.
  • Your collaboration skills will be essential in working with internal and external stakeholders – including Property, Design & Planning, Shopfitting Departments and Electrical Contractors – to ensure project alignment and execution.
  • You will undertake lighting drafting, design, and simulation, ensuring compliance to Australian/New Zealand standards in line with the National Construction Code.
  • Site meetings and surveys may be required, and you will contribute to the effective progression of the team by supporting continuous development and driving process improvement.
Requirements
  • Degree in Lighting Design, Architecture or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in lighting design, project documentation, and coordination.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, AGi32/Dialux, Photometric toolbox, and other relevant software.
  • A sound understanding of AS/NZ Lighting Standards and Building/Construction Codes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Great teamwork abilities with a strong emphasis on building rapport.
