WA State Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced State Manager to lead our Perth-based engineering consulting team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to the WA team, driving business growth and development, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering consulting services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the WA team, including operational management and business development.
- Develop and implement business growth strategies to increase market share and revenue.
- Manage WA operations, including budget, profit and loss, human resource management, and facility management.
- Ensure effective provision of end-to-end engineering consulting services to clients, including quote preparation, quality and timely service delivery, and client satisfaction monitoring.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, including identifying new business leads and opportunities.
- Represent the company at client meetings, business opportunities, and industry events.
- Encourage a high-performance sales and service culture through role modeling and collaboration with department technical experts.
- At least 3 years' experience in a technical sales role.
- At least 3 years' experience in a leadership role, preferably managing technical roles.
- Undergraduate degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience with management accounting, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to problem solve, provide solutions, and make decisions in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner.
- Superior computer literacy and familiarity with CRM systems.
- Proven experience at developing and nurturing long-term client relationships.
- Excellent negotiation skills and experience with managing SLAs.
- Willing and able to travel locally and interstate for conferences and exhibitions.
- Positive can-do attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to collaborate with professional peers.
