Australia Retrospect Labs Pty Full time
About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Systems Administrator to join our team at Retrospect Labs Pty. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation of IT Solutions: Implement IT solutions in a cloud-native Microsoft 365 environment with a focus on secure by design principles. You will be provided with high-level strategic direction and be expected to design and implement appropriate solutions independently in alignment with the Microsoft Well-Architected Framework and industry best practices.
  • IT Helpdesk Support: Resolve IT helpdesk issues promptly and efficiently, providing excellent customer service to our team members.
  • Proactive Remediation: Identify and address potential issues before they impact operations, implementing proactive measures to maintain system integrity, availability, and security, and reducing team toil by mitigating the root causes of issues.
  • Monitoring and Performance: Continuously monitor the IT environment for performance and security issues, ensuring systems are running smoothly and securely.
  • ISO 27001 Compliance: Implement and maintain technical controls to help us achieve and maintain ISO 27001 certification, balancing the business' needs with security objectives.
  • Process Automation: Develop and implement automation, scripts, and tools to streamline IT processes and improve efficiency. We rely heavily on automation to help us achieve our goals.
  • Documentation: Document processes, decisions, architecture diagrams, and maintain asset inventories.
  • Use of Technology: Drive adoption of tools and technology within the team to improve efficiency and help us maintain our edge.
  • Application and Patch Management: Build and maintain the application catalogue using Intune and Company Portal, ensuring applications are kept up to date using a risk-based approach to vulnerability management.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and zero-trust architectures.
  • Experience with Azure and understanding of cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience with IT security best practices.
  • Experience with Atlassian Cloud (Jira and Confluence) administration.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to communicate highly technical information to a general audience.
  • Experience in working independently without heavy direction or frequent check-ins (a 'Manager of one' - understanding what needs to be done, breaking down the tasks, and then executing).
  • Working experience with Linux is beneficial.
Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001 standards and compliance requirements.
What We Offer
  • Salary - AUD$ K (pro-rata for part-time) + superannuation.
  • Flexibility - meet your outcomes and decide your own schedule that unlocks your full potential.
  • Latest tech - We identify and leverage the best tooling to manage our operations.
  • Culture - We celebrate our wins and care about culture, our priority being the morale of each and every team member.
Other Important Details
  • We have a distributed workforce - if you are living in and have the rights to work in Australia, then we don't mind where you live.
  • We will request shortlisted candidates to complete a small project (designed to be less than an hour of work). This is so we can assess your ability to perform the role successfully, but also to give you better insights in the type of work this job entails.
  • All potential team members must undergo reference and police checks (we cover the cost).
