About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ICT Systems Administrator to join our team at the Department of Justice TAS. As a key member of our ICT team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and administration of our ICT infrastructure, ensuring the efficient and secure operation of our systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide high-level technical advice and guidance to ICT management and staff, overseeing the maintenance and administration of our ICT systems, including servers, workstations, applications, databases, networks, and security.
  • System Development: Drive and implement changes to ICT systems to solve business problems, increase efficiency, and improve security, participating in the planning and implementation of larger programs of work within the ICT team.
  • Incident Management: Respond to and manage escalated incidents and issues in a timely manner, assisting other ICT staff with general desktop support and training services as required.
  • Election Support: Coordinate, deploy, and maintain ICT infrastructure for election offices, polling places, and other electoral processes, ensuring the secure and efficient operation of our systems.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation and records of our ICT environment, processes, and procedures, contributing to the development of ICT and cyber security policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a complex IT environment, with a strong background in ICT systems administration, technical leadership, and system development.
  • Skills: Strong technical skills, including experience with servers, workstations, applications, databases, networks, and security, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.
