Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

The Role:

  • Manage cases for injured workers requiring physical and psychological support to return to employment.
  • Establish relationships with health professionals, working within a multidisciplinary team to facilitate rehabilitation and healing.
  • Perform assessments including functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic or activities of daily living assessments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans.

Supporting government employers and employees through our relationship with Allianz TMF, you will have the opportunity to work with clients across multiple sectors.

As part of the Generation Health group and APM group of companies, you will be involved in supporting the Australian Defence Force and Veteran community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualised rehabilitation plans for injured workers.
  • Conduct assessments and interventions to promote optimal recovery and return to work outcomes.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Provide education and support to employees and employers on injury management and prevention.
Requirements:
  • Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA).
  • Occupational Rehabilitation experience.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology or Nursing.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Passion to help people rehabilitate and demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
