As a Custody Officer, you will be responsible for safely transporting and supervising detainees during critical activities, participating in court activities, and ensuring safety requirements are met. You will also manage conflicts and communicate empathetically, positively impacting the lives of detainees. Additionally, you will maintain a professional, fair, and open-minded approach towards detainees, provide safety and security for detainees, staff, and the public, conduct walking and mobile patrols of designated areas, and supervise detainees, escort them to appointments or court appearances, and maintain accurate records.

", "Requirements": "

To be successful in this role, you will need to be available for full-time training for 6 weeks in Perth, commit to a minimum of 12 months to obtain qualifications, be an Australian/NZ Citizen or permanent resident, and be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical, including a drug & alcohol test.

", "What to Expect": "

At our Assessment Sessions, you will participate in a presentation about the crucial role of a Custody Officer on the CS&CS contract, undergo a fitness assessment, including the Beep test, Illinois Agility Test, and Dead ball lift over the shoulder, and participate in a formal interview.
