Cosmetic Development Professional

We are seeking an experienced Cosmetic Development Professional to join our team of skilled chemists and technical support staff. As a key member of our R&D department, you will be responsible for formulating and developing new cosmetic products, ensuring they meet the highest quality and regulatory standards.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining quality guidelines and setting specifications for raw materials and finished products
  • Conducting experiments to determine chemical composition of different substances for product development and improvement
  • Developing and implementing physical and chemical sampling and testing programs for raw materials, work-in-process (WIP) and finished cosmetic products
  • Researching possibilities of new products and substance combinations for product development and process improvement
  • Using research outcomes for the development of cosmetic products
  • Verifying that work methods and manufactured product meets the customer, internal and regulatory specifications
  • Studying the market trends and new potential cosmetic Research and Development projects
  • Providing training, technical expertise and support to other areas of business
  • Ensuring the maintenance to good laboratory practices and all safety regulations both in laboratory and manufacturing areas
  • Analysing chemical and physical properties of substances

To be successful in your application, you must have:

  • Completed a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, biomedical engineering or equivalent
  • At least 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A collaborative attitude to work in teams in a fast-paced environment
  • An outstanding eye for detail, always looking for improvements
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
