**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
Council’s Assets, Capital and Facilities unit sits within the City Services directorate and focuses on the management of the Cumberland LGA. Cumberland City Council owns and operates four (4) Aquatic Centres and two (2) Fitness facilities across the LGA which provide recreational services to our community.
In contributing to the overarching vision, the Pool Lifeguard will assist the Aquatic Operations Supervisor to provide patrons and hirers of Cumberland City Council Aquatic Centres with high-quality customer service and a clean, safe, friendly and well-presented facility. This is achieved through the effective supervision and evaluation of Councils aquatic facilities to ensure safety, quality and professional operation that exceeds industry standards.
The successful applicant will require:
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Current Pool Lifeguard Licence
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- High level of interpersonal and customer service skills

**About this role**:
- Casual positions
- Located at Council's Swim Centres, with occasional travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council’s work locations
**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 3 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $29.49 to $33.92 per hour (including casual loading), plus 11.5% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role
