At Amazon, we're seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our Customer Fulfillment team at our Horsley Park Fulfillment Center. As an Operations Manager, you'll lead a team of Area Managers and their direct reports, ensuring the highest quality of leadership and motivating your teams to excel. You'll be responsible for supervising a team of Area Managers and their direct reports, while reporting to the Site Lead of your Fulfillment Center. Your leadership skills will be key to achieving success in this role, as you'll plan schedules and activities that balance the needs of your team with those of the business.

Key responsibilities include maintaining Health and Safety standards, becoming a subject matter expert on specific processes, handling timely data collection, and achieving productivity targets. You'll work closely with other support teams on staffing plans, schedules, and performance levels, and implement process change and contribute to cross-functional Six Sigma initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in leading large, diverse teams, experience in employee and performance management, excellent communication skills, and proven experience in a similar logistics or manufacturing environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field, experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques, demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical skills, and experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons.
