About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager to join our team at our Fulfillment Center in Sydney. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of engineering technicians to ensure site operations are maintained in a safe, standard, and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the maintenance team to ensure site operations are maintained in a safe, standard, and efficient manner.
  • Work with the team and wider network to harness technical expertise and build solutions.
  • Support the Reliability Engineering Manager in implementing, recording, and auditing safety and statutory compliance programs.
  • Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide high equipment availability to internal customers.
  • Ensure sufficient technical coverage is available for shifts by organizing and directing the training program for the team.
  • Manage local projects or support Australia-wide projects as assigned by the manager.
A Day in the Life

You will be based at one of our operational sites, allowing you to give practical guidance to your team and gain a clear vision of site operations. This involves collecting data, solving problems in a fast-paced environment, and creating an operational plan to improve site productivity and efficiency.

Requirements
  • A degree in a technical discipline.
  • Relevant experience in managing people in an engineering team.
  • Relevant experience in a maintenance team in an industrial or production environment handling complex business processes.
  • Relevant experience in liaising and managing relationships between stakeholders, including third-party vendors.
  • Experience with automated equipment, including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with statutory regulations, such as compliance checks and machine safety protocols.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and PLC-based control systems.
  • Experience with project management or Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma processes.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
