Operations Team Leader Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Operations Team Leader to join our team at our Fulfillment Center in Horsley Park. As an Operations Team Leader, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and the delivery of excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and work in Inbound/Outbound Operations, including other departments as required.
  • Maintain a safe workplace by following Safety SOPs and ensuring the well-being of all personnel and the integrity of Amazon operations.
  • Help daily management of department duties, including allocating labor, leading meetings, assigning job duties, and measuring and monitoring workflows.
  • Support and train employees to deliver great service and supervise them in their daily tasks.
  • Support the Shift/Area Manager with projects to improve processes, cultivate a safe working environment, and increase workforce engagement.
  • Provide coverage for Area Managers and work with other departments to find solutions to address common issues or support needs in areas of key performance.
  • Use data analysis to identify ways to optimize safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Ensure successful area performance through tracking, reporting, and feedback of associate performance.
  • Provide policy follow-up, attendance tracking, and assist the floor as an associate resource, training associates, and verifying SOP compliance.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  • High school or equivalent.
