Enhancing Lives Through Community Connection

At our organization, we are seeking a Community Engagement Specialist to lead the delivery of programs and activities to children and young people with a care experience. This role is pivotal in fostering meaningful relationships with these individuals and their families.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field, coupled with at least 12 months experience in the out-of-home care sector. They must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies for delivering high-quality programs and activities that cater to the unique needs of children and young people with a care experience.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, organizations, and key decision-makers to advocate for the rights and interests of these individuals.
- Maintain accurate records of contact details, interactions, and program outcomes to inform future service delivery.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver comprehensive services that address the complex needs of this population.
- Ensure all interactions are culturally sensitive and inclusive, promoting social cohesion and understanding within the community.
Requirements:
- Degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field.
- At least 12 months experience working in the out-of-home care sector.
- Current Driver's License.
