Role Summary
The Director, Learning Diversity is a key member of the College Leadership Team, responsible for leading the implementation of the College's Teaching and Learning and Student Wellbeing Strategic Plan. This role is critical in promoting improved student learning outcomes and engagement by modelling best practice in Learning Diversity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans in Literacy, Numeracy, EAL, refugee and indigenous support, and highly able students.
- Ensure all teaching and learning processes and procedures provide access and growth in learning for all students.
- Model best practice in Learning Diversity and promote a culture of inclusivity and respect within the College community.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop and implement effective strategies to support student learning and wellbeing.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of Learning Diversity initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading Learning Diversity initiatives and developing strategic plans to improve student learning outcomes.
- Strong understanding of best practice in Learning Diversity and the ability to model and promote a culture of inclusivity and respect.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teachers, staff, and students.
- Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for improvement.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff to achieve goals.
