Job Details

Support Workers play a vital role in providing in-home support services to valued customers across Hobart.

  • This position involves delivering personal care, including showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance.
  • You will also provide social support, transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments.
  • The role includes domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation.
  • You will support customers in the use of aids and personal equipment.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Personal Care: Provide comprehensive personal care services, ensuring customers' physical needs are met.
  2. Social Support: Facilitate social interactions, transport customers to social events, and assist with grocery shopping and medical appointments.
  3. Domestic Assistance: Perform light household cleaning, manage laundry, and prepare meals to maintain a comfortable living environment.
  4. Aids and Equipment: Assist customers in using personal aids and equipment to enhance their daily lives.
Requirements
  • Interpersonal Skills: Develop strong relationships with customers, families, and colleagues through effective communication and empathy.
  • Communication: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey information accurately and clearly.
  • Technology: Comfortable using technology, including mobile apps, to access rosters and record customer notes/feedback.
  • Certifications: Hold current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, Criminal Record Check, First Aid certificate/CPR, and Australian Drivers Licence.
