**Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist Role**

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist. In this diverse role, you will have the opportunity to work with clients who have sustained workplace injuries or illnesses, providing support and guidance to help them achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy, exercise physiology, or physiotherapy, and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will be able to work independently, manage their own caseload, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans.

As an Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist, you will have the flexibility to work across various schemes, including workers' compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, and employer-funded injury prevention programs. You will also have the opportunity to participate in ongoing professional development and learning opportunities, ensuring that your skills and knowledge remain up-to-date.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Case management: managing client caseloads, developing and implementing rehabilitation plans, and monitoring progress
  • Collaboration with employers and employees: working with clients and their employers to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs
  • Working with medical and allied health professionals: collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans
  • Assessments and reports: completing assessments and reports to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment, and identify suitable employment opportunities

**Requirements:**

  • Tertiary qualification in occupational therapy, exercise physiology, or physiotherapy
  • Registration with AHPRA or ESSA plus SIRA Accreditation
  • Previous experience working in occupational rehabilitation would be highly regarded
  • Fabulous communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassion and kindness always go a long way
  • Well-developed time management skills
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive car insurance
