Overview

The role of the Minor Capability Acquisition Program Management Officer is a critical position within the Army's systems and integration branch. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that project proposals and associated documentation are properly consulted, endorsed, and supported by appropriate planning and governance.

This includes engaging closely with stakeholders, providing guidance on proposal preparation, and developing current awareness of requirements and considerations affecting Army Minor Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with Army Minors Program stakeholders to ensure project proposals and documentation meet necessary standards.
  • Provide guidance on proposal preparation and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure formal guidance and templates are updated to reflect new policy and advice.
  • Develop and maintain current awareness of requirements and considerations affecting Army Minor Projects.
  • Coordinate MINCAP Governance activities, including planning and providing secretariat support.
  • Prepare written and verbal briefings on the health and performance of the MINCAP.
  • Support modernization and development of the Army Minors governance framework and management tools.
  • Represent SO1 Minors at Project / Program Management Steering Groups and other forums.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders and provide guidance on proposal preparation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain current awareness of requirements and considerations affecting Army Minor Projects.
  • Experience in program management and coordination.
